I can't believe the memory span of the American people.Today we got the second coming of carter,does anybody remember him? I do, I lived in Chacigo burbs at that time and worked nights,It was winter and twelve degrees below [O]I ran out of gas like a thousand others did and with gas can in hand walked quarter mile and stood in line for an hour to get a gallon of gas.When I did get home guess who I saw on television?Sombody with the deer cought in the headlights eyes,wringing his hands muttering were running out of gas,were running out of gas,we must conserve.I had not seen such acting since Bogart in The Cain Mutiny.I'm sure he impressed the executives at the oil companies,knowing they would never again have to listen to anyone bitch about gas going to one dollar and a halfa gallon.A lot of people suffered and some died during that time.Remember Iran?Remember Saddat?Now here he is giving support and advice to a bunch that has done nothing but argue among themselves and not once addressed anything concerning imigration ,the environment. the forest,its incredable.Anyone of them that take any part of his advice,or for that matter does a photo op with him can count me out.Yes I remember the Trumans, the Fords,the Reagans; the George Bush#1,yes and even the Bill Clintin.They did good and they did some bad.What they don't do is come back periodicly To remind us about our frost bitten feet.Are we still running out of gas Mr.Carter?
